In this article I wanted to create a short list of performance upgrades for Porsche Macan that really improve the driving experience. These upgrades were also our top selling products for Macan in 2023.

OEM air filters are made of paper and their main function is to protect the engine. These filters have high resistance to the air flow, which reduces the inlet pressure and reduces the engine’s performance.

BMC’s air filters provide a considerably greater amount of air flow. BMC air filters are produced using a “Full Moulding” system that enables the characteristic red filter to be realized from a single mold with no welded joints thus avoiding breakage.

The rubber used in BMC air filtering systems has a long life, is very durable and has optimum adhesion characteristics to all shapes of air boxes.

BMC filters are made of a multi-layered cotton gauze soaked with low viscosity oil covered with an epoxy coated alloy mesh to ensure protection from petrol fumes and oxidization due to air humidity. 

The cotton has a larger plot, which favors the passage of a large flow of air and through the combination of different layers containing oil, ensures the stoppage of all the impurities from 7 microns up.

To date, this concept is the best solution for both better filtration and higher performance.

DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING:  The Macan is rather quiet in factory format.

Eliminating the restrictive factory catalytic converter adds to drivability and also unlocks the sweet sounds of the turbo with a major increase in snarling and crackles from the exhaust.

The sound is aggressive without droning in the cabin. Smooth mandrel bent piping encourages better throttle response and a more exciting exhaust note.

Easy to bolt in with no modifications required, this is a great, reversible solution to make your Macan more exciting.

CONSTRUCTION:  Each downpipe is assembled out of mandrel bent, thick wall T304L stainless steel, then rigorously quality checked.

BOLT ON AND GO:  Every downpipe is rigorously quality-checked, tested in a fixture to guarantee fitment, and then foam packed to ensure it arrives in perfect condition.. New hardware is included.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT?:  This product may trigger a check engine light due to removal of the factory catalytic converter. SOUL suggests a custom ECU tune to disable any check engine lights (for track use only).

+  Boost spikes can occur as a result of increasing the exhaust flow with a catless downpipe. We highly recommend an ECU tune to not only extract maximum power from this mod, but to have the best possible drivability as well.
